Why Families Choose Us
The Difference Comes Down
to How We Listen
Warisan is built around the needs of the families we serve — not around process efficiency or volume. That shapes everything from how we communicate to how we charge.
Back to HomeWhat Sets Us Apart
Six Reasons Families Come to Warisan
No Legal Jargon
Every document and conversation is conducted in plain language. We explain what each clause means, why it matters, and what happens if something changes.
One Consistent Adviser
From the first call to the completion of your matter, you work with the same person. No re-explaining your situation to someone new each time you reach out.
Written Fee Quotes
Costs are provided in writing before any work begins. There are no additional charges introduced mid-matter without your prior knowledge and agreement.
Civil & Syariah Coverage
We work comfortably across both civil and Syariah inheritance frameworks, coordinating with qualified Syariah practitioners when Faraid distribution applies.
Your Pace, Not Ours
We do not apply pressure to sign, decide, or proceed. Families dealing with a bereavement or complex family situation deserve space to move at a comfortable speed.
Proactive Updates
We contact clients when anything changes in their matter — you do not need to chase us for news. We respond to all queries within one business day.
Expertise
Deep Knowledge of Malaysian Succession Law
Our practice is limited to inheritance and estate matters. This focus means our advisers develop a depth of knowledge that a general practice simply cannot replicate — from the technical requirements of the Probate and Administration Act 1959 to the procedural nuances of the High Court Probate Division.
- Over a decade of dedicated succession law practice
- Experienced with both High Court and small estate routes
- Working knowledge of Faraid and Syariah estate procedures
Why a specialist matters
Malaysian inheritance law sits at the intersection of civil law, land law, trust law, and — for Muslim estates — Syariah. A specialist who works within this area every day can anticipate complications, prepare documents correctly the first time, and advise on options a generalist might overlook.
A process designed for families
Most clients come to us with little knowledge of what a probate or estate administration process involves. Our intake process is designed to gather only what is needed, explain why it is needed, and keep the number of visits or meetings to a practical minimum — respecting the time and energy of families who may be under considerable stress.
Process
A Considered Intake Process
We have structured our approach around minimising the burden on clients. Wherever possible, we handle communications with courts, government agencies, and financial institutions directly, reducing the number of tasks that fall to the family.
- Direct court and agency liaison on your behalf
- Clear checklist of documents required from you
- Defined milestones with expected timelines
Value
Transparent Pricing, No Surprises
Our fees are straightforward: Will preparation from RM 560, estate administration from RM 960, and grant of probate assistance from RM 1,320. Each fee is quoted in writing before engagement and covers a clearly defined scope of work. If additional work arises outside that scope, we discuss it with you before proceeding.
- Written fee letter before any work begins
- Clear scope defined at the outset
- No charges introduced without your agreement
What your fee includes
Each service fee covers all consultations within scope, document preparation, adviser review, filing fees where applicable, and all communications with relevant agencies. We do not charge separately for phone calls or emails during the active period of your matter.
How We Compare
Warisan vs the Typical Approach

- Legal advice delivered in difficult-to-understand terms
- Different staff handling the matter at different stages
- Fees disclosed after work has already been done

- Pressure to decide or sign before client is ready
The Warisan approach
- Plain English (and Bahasa Malaysia) at every stage
- One dedicated adviser from start to finish
- Written fee quote before any work begins
- Civil and Syariah expertise under one roof
- Proactive updates — we contact you when anything changes
- No pressure — proceed when you are ready
What Only We Offer
Distinctive Features of Our Practice
Plain-Language Document Summaries
Every document we prepare comes with a short plain-English summary explaining what each section does and what it means for the family. Clients can share these summaries with their spouse or children without needing a legal background.
No-Pressure Consultation
Our initial consultation is conducted without any obligation to engage. We will explain your situation, outline the options, and provide an indicative fee — and there is no follow-up pressure if you wish to take time to consider.
Amanah Raya & EPF Liaison
We have established working relationships with Amanah Raya Berhad and are familiar with EPF nomination processes, enabling us to handle these elements smoothly within a broader estate administration engagement.
English & Bahasa Malaysia Service
We serve clients in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Families who prefer to discuss their matters in Bahasa Malaysia receive the same detailed, unhurried guidance — no language should be a barrier to understanding your rights.
